As founder and President of Enact Partners, Michael Schumacher enjoys working closely with real estate investor clients. He has executed over $520 million in real estate development and investments throughout the United States for both public and private companies, with clients ranging from individual investors and family trusts to large publicly-traded institutions.
Active in public service, Mr. Schumacher serves on the Carlsbad City Council. He also serves on the Board of Directors of several San Diego regional agencies and committees, such as SANDAG (San Diego Association of Governments), San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, the Encina Wastewater Authority and the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce.
Previously, Mr. Schumacher served as Vice President of Commercial Development for Kilroy Realty Corporation (NASDAQ: KRC), a publicly-traded REIT. He has helped develop strategies and direction for numerous private real estate development and investment companies throughout the United States, also assisting as an expert witness on commercial real estate matters.
Mr. Schumacher previously served as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Carlsbad and is past Chairman. He also served on the Design Review Board for Carlsbad’s redevelopment district and as Vice President of the Board of Directors of New Village Arts Theatre. He is active in several real estate industry associations and community service organizations.
Mr. Schumacher earned a Master’s of Science in Administration with an emphasis on Tax Increment Finance from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor’s degree from North Dakota State University. He holds a California real estate broker’s license. Mr. Schumacher is also a licensed Private Pilot.
He lives in Carlsbad, California with his wife and two children.
Aaron, a second generation real estate professional, has been actively working in the real estate industry since 1997. Aaron has built an impressive career and reputation as a Hard/Private Money Lender, Investor in Real Estate, Real Estate Broker and Certified Appraiser. His extensive and diverse experience in Real Estate is a crucial piece in assisting clients and ensuring successful transactions. Aaron provides a sophisticated consulting approach, with a detailed and analytical perspective of current market trends and conditions.
He has raised multi-millions of dollars for Real Estate related investments, managed several projects operations, provided hard money loans to principals, assisted in the acquisition, management and disposition of assets. He has also worked as an expert witness on residential real estate matters, a portfolio reviewer for investors, consultant for builders, developers, attorneys, Real Estate Brokers and has successfully invested in the Arizona and California Real Estate markets. Aaron’s diverse experience in Real Estate, appraisal practice and management offers our organization and client’s peace of mind.
Mr. Roth attended the Ohio State University, earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and served in the United States Marine Corps. He holds several professional designations such as; CA Real Estate Broker, CA State Certified Appraiser, Mortgage Loan Originator, Certified Luxury Home Specialist, Certified Distressed Property Expert, repeated 5 Star Professional Award Winner, FHA Appraiser and is also a member of the Million Dollar Guild.
He lives in Cardiff by the Sea, CA with his wife and two children.
Jennifer Rout started her career in banking and lending in 2003, where she worked her way up through retail banking and consumer lending after studying English in college. Holding various positions in the banking discipline, she garnered well rounded experience that is an asset on each new escrow. In 2008, she transitioned to the real estate side of the escrow, where she currently brings her attention to detail and knowledge of finance to her role as our Transaction Manager. A licensed Realtor, and a notary public, she is truly an essential component to each escrow. Jenn strives for excellence in customer service, attention to detail and appreciates the opportunity to work with our clients.
She lives in the San Diego area with her husband and son.
Lisa Wheland joined Enact Partners in 2016 to provide administrative support and oversee office management, accounting, scheduling, and client relations. Working alongside Aaron and Michael, she also assists in the company’s marketing efforts.
Lisa brings 15 years of executive support and project management to the table. Previously she enjoyed a career in the field of higher education regulatory compliance, where her expertise, reliability, and attention to detail saw her repeatedly promoted within that field. Not only is she an experienced project manager, but she has a unique ability to be meticulous about details and still maintain a focus on the big picture.
Lisa is a team player who truly enjoys assisting our clients and business partners. A native of Southern California, she lives in Cardiff by the Sea and spends her free time cooking, wine tasting with friends, and catering to her French bulldog.
